Meetings:

Regular meetings of the SLWTA are held the 4th Thursday of every month, (except November, Thursday before Thanksgiving) from September through April. The meetings feature a networking hour, a dinner meeting and a guest speaker or panel discussion focusing on current topics which are of interest to the international business community. The schedule will be:

  • 5:30 pm  – 6:15 pm: Networking 
  • 6:15 pm – 8:00 pm: Dinner & Presentation (presentation to immediately follow dinner.)

Meeting fees: Member $25, Non-member $35, Student $15, Presentation only $15.

Payment by Cash or check at the door. Cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full amount.


About:

The Stateline World Trade Association (formerly South Central World Trade Association - SCWWTA) was formed in 1987 to promote an understanding and appreciation of the international marketplace. SLWTA is one of four World Trade Associations in Wisconsin  The association’s mission is to promote a means whereby professional people who are knowledgeable and involved in international trade can:

  • Promote effective export and trade management. Educate members about international trade issues and practices.
  •  Advocate and support legislation that benefits international trade activities.
  • Promote a favorable United States balance of trade through export development. Promote the economic benefits to the region from firms engaged in international trade.
  • Involve world trade students from area high schools, colleges and universities in association activities.
  • To provide practical resources for the effective expansion of international business for it’s members.. 
  • To liaise with the public sector to identify and implement policies and programs, which will affect companies involved with international business..
  • The SLWTA serves, but is not limited to, the Southern Wisconsin/Northern Illinois area.

  • Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce
  • Rockford Chamber of Commerce
